About Mrs. Bachman:
This is Mrs. Bachman's second year at Lone Rock School.
Questions and Answers:
How did you come to teach here?
Originally from Minnesota, my husband and I moved to Montana 4 years
ago. I had taught all-day every day kindergarten in Minnesota for 4
years before we moved, so when there was an opening at Lone Rock last
year for an all-day every day kindergarten teacher, I applied, and was
hired.
What are the highlights of your school year?
Meeting the children for the first time is such a highlight! They are
so excited about coming to school and learning, the orientation we do
before school starts is an awesome way for the children to become familiar
with their teacher and their classroom. This also gives parents a great
opportunity not only to meet the teacher, but to meet other parents
as well, so it provides a wonderful networking system before school
starts.
Kindergarten is truly the foundation of education, and creating an environment
of excitement and understanding is such a great opportunity for me as
a teacher, and making sure it is solid and strong is what is very important.
With this philosophy, I believe that children advance very quickly,
learning new skills, and their understanding is always changing because
of it, which is certainly a highlight!
I also love to see how personalities develop and flourish each day.
There are so many things to learn in kindergarten from reading, writing,
and mathematics, to social and school rules, these little people have
a lot to keep them going, and do an awesome job! They are also really
good at keeping me going, too!
There are so many highlights during the day, just by watching the children
and their decision-making, and listening to their thoughts and ideas.
It is amazing, because while I am their teacher, I learn from them every
day! They are each and every one a highlight every day!
