About Mrs. Ray:

This is Mrs. Ray's 17th year teaching at Lone
Rock School.

She came here because "I loved the area with the beautiful mountains and rivers and wanted to stay relatively close to my roots in Philipsburg. I was raised on a ranch there so I love the rural Three Mile area."

What are the highlights of your school year?

I enjoy watching children learn and grow. I enjoy the projects. They vary from year to year.

What are the interesting projects your class works on?

We do cooking projects in our math program. We enjoy working with clay. We come up with some interesting creations and then bake them in the kiln. We try to have a good time while we learn.

What is the best part of teaching at Lone Rock? Why do you like teaching here?

Why do you like teaching here? I enjoy working with great children, great parents and a great staff. We belong to a wonderful supportive community. Probably the best part is making lasting relationships. When my former students come in to say "Hi" I am reminded why I decided to become a teacher.
