About Ms. Reed:

This is Ms. Reed's Seventh year of teaching at Lone Rock School.

Questions and Answers:

How did you come to teach here?

I came to teach middle school. After teaching middle school for two years I was given the opportunity to take my first/third grade teacher's job (Dorothy Gruba retired). I have been teaching third grade ever since.

What are the highlights of your school year?

Third graders learn cursive handwriting, multiplication facts, and more fluent reading.

What are the interesting projects your class works on?

We have a few thematic units that we try to fit into our school year such as Spiders, Titanic, and a Ramona Quimby literature circle. We have also been participating in a cabbage growing project that may win scholarships for our students.

What is the best part of teaching at Lone Rock? Why do you like teaching here?

I like teaching in a school that feels like home.
