Dear Lone Rock Staff, Parents, Students, and Community,
I hope you are having a relaxing summer and are recharging for the upcoming school year.
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as your new Superintendent and Middle School Principal. I am truly honored and humbled to serve the Lone Rock School District!
I grew up in a small, rural logging community in northern Idaho. My 20-year career in education has been in schools similar to the one I grew up in, much like Lone Rock. I have spent the last 16 years working in small Montana schools and can’t imagine doing anything else. I have been fortunate to serve Montana public schools as a teacher, Title I Director, Curriculum Director, Instructional Coach, Intervention Specialist, Principal, and Superintendent. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of serving several schools as a Title I and School Improvement Coach.
I believe in the power of working together to achieve our goals. I’m dedicated to working closely with our elementary principal, teachers, and staff to provide them with the resources, respect, and support they need to excel in their roles.
As your superintendent, I recognize that strong partnerships with families are integral to the success of our students and the district as a whole. I am committed to actively engaging with you, listening to your insights and concerns, and ensuring your voices are heard and valued.
I intend to make every effort to foster a culture of collaboration and transparency to ensure the continued success of the district and the community. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to ensure we are helping every student reach their fullest potential.
My leadership philosophy is anchored in being of service and leading by example. I am willing to do whatever it takes to give my students, staff, and community every opportunity for success. I believe in building relationships through trust, communication, respect, and collaboration. My door is always open for any questions, comments, or concerns. Please feel free to stop in!
