On Friday, March 20th, there will be a Facility Tour of the campus with members of our school board. This tour is designed to evaluate needed maintenance, and the public is welcome to attend! The tour starts at 4pm at the front elementary office.

We are so excited for our Shamrock Shenanigans dress up week!
From March 16-20th will be Penny Wars! This fun activity organized by Student Council will help raise funds for improving our schools playgrounds. Each student has the opportunity to put coins in any grade levels bucket, with coins either adding or subtracting points. It's certainly going to be a fun, competitive week!

Dear Lone Rock community,
Unfortunately, school will be closed tomorrow, March 3rd due to a water main leak. The water has to be shut off to the entire campus to repair the leak. We will keep you updated as we know more.
Save the date, Missoula Children's Theatre is coming back to Lone Rock! From May 11-16 students will be cast in the show, rehearse, and then perform. Performances will be on Saturday, May 16th at 3pm and 5:30pm. Any student in grades K-8 is welcome to audition!
I Love to Read Month is in full swing! Here are our dress up days for the month. Looking forward to seeing student creativity shine through!
What a great Spelling Bee! Congratulations to Charlie, who came in first place, and Saffiya, who came in second. These two amazing students will be representing Lone Rock at the Ravalli County Spelling Bee, and we couldn't be more proud!
We can't believe our Christmas concert is tomorrow night, Wednesday the 21st! Doors will open at 5:40pm, which allows us time for setup. See you all there!

Lone Rock School has received information that buses (high profile vehicles) are unsafe to travel the roads at this time. We are cancelling all bus routes and the after school program has been cancelled as well. Please make arrangements to have your students picked up at the school. Remember, today is early out, so school will end at 2:30pm.

Hello families. Due to the weather, tonight's Christmas Concert will be rescheduled for sometime in January. We will send out further information to all families once a date is chosen.
Hello Lone Rock families. Currently, the school district is on a Shelter-in-Place due to high winds. This means that business in the building goes on as usual, but students and staff are not outside. If parents would like to pick up their child, they are free to do so and it will be an excused absence. Student safety is our number one priority, and we will continue to keep you updated.

Theme days are approaching fast, as is winter weather! Please see the attached for the list of theme days, and remember to send your child with winter weather gear for outside recess. Please let us know if getting winter gear is a hardship, as we have resources to support families in need.
