Hello all! We wanted to remind everyone that we will be in school on Monday, April 21st, as a make-up for the snow day we had in February. We hope everyone has a wonderful three-day weekend!

The Middle School will be running their AR competition until mid-May! It should be fantastic to see how much students read.

We are so excited for our Spring Concert tonight! Doors will open at 5:30, and Ms. Murphy will be helping with parking by 5:40. The concert will start at 6pm in the Gym. It's going to be a wonderful night of music!

Parents and Guardians, The Lone Rock Middle School 8th grade students received their registration paperwork today from the Stevensville High School Administration. Please take the next week to look things over and fill out the registration forms and have your son/daughter return it to me in the Middle School office by Tuesday April 1, 2025. If you have questions about the registration materials feel free to give me a call here at the school. Additionally the 8th grade students will be going to Stevensville High School and Stevensville Middle School for an assembly on April 28, 2025. Attending the assembly will be the Lone Rock 8th Grade Students and the Stevensville 6-8th grade students and there will be a Guest speaker John Beede. John has a message that includes reaching your potential through leadership and reaching for your goals. After the Assembly the Lone Rock Middle School students will tour the high school and see what it will be like next year. Similar to what has been done in the past with other classes . Our Spring Concert is fast approaching! Join us on April 8th at 6pm in the Gym for a night of lively tunes that capture the beauty of spring. The students are working hard on their songs, and it is sure to be an amazing evening!

Dear Parents, We are excited to announce that our school’s Science Fair is coming up on Friday, March 14, and we are looking for volunteers to help judge student projects! The event will run from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with a light lunch provided from 12:00 to 12:30 PM. If you are only available for a shorter period of time that is ok too. This is a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand the creativity, hard work, and scientific curiosity of our students. No prior judging experience is necessary—just a willingness to engage with students and ask questions about their projects. Our goal is to create a positive and encouraging experience for all participants. Lone Rock is considered running a JumpStart program this summer. This free program, running Mon-Thurs from July 7-August 7, would provide literacy interventions with fun, themed weeks of instruction. This program would be available to any student entering grades K-3, even if not in the Lone Rock district. If you are interested, please fill out the survey linked below. Dear Parents , Warming weather has made our snow turn to slush and large puddles (more like ponds!). Please send your child to school with appropriate shoes for rain, as we will be outside for recess with this warm weather and tennis shoes tend to get soaked. Parents, Good morning. With the recent snow day that was called last week the district needs to change the school calendar a bit to meet the requirements for the number of hours of instruction for the current school year. The district will be making up the days missed this winter. So far the district will be holding school on Monday April 21st as a normal school day. Additionally the last day of school will need to be dismissed at 11:30 as of now. If the school district needs to cancel or delay future days this winter, more adjustments will be needed to the calendar.
