Dear Parents ,
Warming weather has made our snow turn to slush and large puddles (more like ponds!). Please send your child to school with appropriate shoes for rain, as we will be outside for recess with this warm weather and tennis shoes tend to get soaked. Thank you! - Shelby Murphy, Elementary Principal

Parents,
Good morning. With the recent snow day that was called last week the district needs to change the school calendar a bit to meet the requirements for the number of hours of instruction for the current school year.
The district will be making up the days missed this winter. So far the district will be holding school on Monday April 21st as a normal school day. Additionally the last day of school will need to be dismissed at 11:30 as of now.
If the school district needs to cancel or delay future days this winter, more adjustments will be needed to the calendar. The current calendar can be found at the following link:
https://www.lonerockschool.org/page/district-calendar
If you have questions please give us a call at the school
Thank you,
-Robert DoBell
Superintendent

GO ROCKETS!

Dear Lone Rock,
I’d like to thank the Lone Rock School community for welcoming me in and making me feel like such a part of things. It has truly been a gift to be back in a school leadership position, and I am grateful for having had the opportunity. That being said, allow me to be the first one to welcome back Mr. DoBell! We have been working together with Ms. Murphy and Mrs. Jensen on the transition and feel confident it will be a smooth one. I have a substitute teacher application I am submitting and hope to remain connected to Lone Rock School in that role on a regular basis. You are all just too wonderful to say goodbye to just yet.
Sincerely,
Kathy A. Schneider
Interim District Superintendent/MS Principal

We are all looking forward to the Veteran's Day assembly! It's on Monday, November 11th at 9 am in the gym. Students are excited to sing the songs they've been learning in music, and we are proud to honor Veterans in our community. All community members are welcome to attend!
